AKKON Lines was established in September 2018 as a wholly Turkish-owned company, providing regular container services between Turkey and Libya under the umbrella of AKKON Maritime Transport and Trade Inc. Supported by the partnership of AKAR Shipping, which has over 50 years of experience in the Turkish maritime sector, AKKON Lines has rapidly expanded its operational footprint.
Following its establishment, AKKON Lines opened branch offices in Bursa, Istanbul, İzmir, and Mersin, along with overseas offices in Algiers, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Libya, Russia, Romania, Tunisia, Morocco, the United Kingdom, and China to support its liner operations.
