Founded in 1961 as the Special Design Bureau at the Novgorod Semiconductor Triode Plant (OKB at NSPT), the company was one of the first in the country to develop the production of semiconductor devices—germanium alloy transistors.
Today, OKB-Planeta carries out a comprehensive range of work on the development and manufacture of electronic components and units for radio equipment, from semiconductor components, power converters, individual microwave units and modules, to multifunctional systems (radar stations).
OKB-Planeta JSC's activities fall into four main areas:
• Development and production of solid-state microwave components (discrete components, microcircuits, hybrid integrated circuits), optoelectronic components (laser diodes and radiation receivers) for radio equipment, including special-purpose ones;
• Development and production of power converters for radio equipment;
• Development and production of components and assemblies for radio equipment
