Research Institute "Girikond" was founded in 1939, as a basic research institute for the development of capacitors and other elements of electronic component base (ECB).
A large segment of the domestic nomenclature of ECB, produced by the enterprises of Russia and the CIS at the moment, is developed in Research Institute "Girikond". The enterprise has retained a significant part of the customers from the Soviet period. The Institute develops and produces electronic components, sensors, and devices for both general-purpose applications and unique products for specific and extreme operating conditions, such as microwave frequencies, high temperatures, mechanical stress, and more.
R&D Institute "Girikond" is part of the Russian Electronics holding and is a base enterprise of the Russian Federation's radio-electronic complex in the field of capacitors and nonlinear semiconductor resistors.
The main areas of scientific, technical, and production activities of JSC Research Institute Girikond include capacitors, noise-suppressing ceramic filters, nonlinear semiconductor resistors, photovoltaic and optoelectronic devices, and functional units and devices for electronic security systems (including NABAT flame detectors, which are based on proprietary technology that has no global analogues).
